Long surveys can become difficult to work with before a participant ever sees them.
When every question is fully expanded, the builder becomes a long page of prompts, options and controls. That makes it harder to scan the survey structure or focus on the part you are editing.
Each question in the survey builder can be collapsed into a compact view and expanded again when you need to edit it.
The collapsed state keeps the question number, type and prompt visible while hiding the detailed inputs and controls. This makes it easier to concentrate on the active question without losing the overall structure.
Collapsing questions reduces visual density and scrolling, making it easier to review order, structure and completeness across a longer study.
The behavior follows the same collapsed-question pattern already used in Wynter results, so the builder gets a clearer workflow without introducing a new interaction model.
