Participant verification process

Wynter's dedicated Participant Verification Team ensures and sustains our participant database quality. Our team verifies hundreds of new participant profiles daily.

All new Wynter participant profiles go through a manual data verification checklist:

LINKEDIN PROFILE

☑ The participant's name matches the name on their Linkedin profile.

☑ The Linkedin profile has job experience data.

☑ The Linkedin profile has followers.

☑ The Linkedin profile has an activity history.

If the LinkedIn profile URL is broken, we try to find the correct LinkedIn profile by searching for the person on Linkedin and Google. If the correct profile is not found, the participant goes unverified.

COUNTRY

☑ The country matches the participants' country on Linkedin.

  • In the case of remote employees, we go with the country of the participant's employer.
  • If a participant has entered their phone number for test invites, we check if the country code matches the country of the participant's profile in  Linkedin.

JOB TITLE

☑ The job title matches the job title on LinkedIn “Experience” section.

☑ The job title has a starting date.

  • If the participant´s title on Linkedin also contains their employer, we remove it to keep our participants anonymous.
  • If someone is between jobs, we verify their profile only if their last job ended less than six months ago before signing up with Wynter
  • If a participant has two or more active jobs, we add all to the title, starting with the most recent.
  • If a participant also operates as a “one-person business,” Wynter adds this role as the second part of their title.

EMAIL ADDRESS

☑ Participants' private email contains their full name and passes our email verification.

SENIORITY

☑ Selected seniority matches their job title on Linkedin.

There are four seniorities people can select:

  1. Founder - excluding one-person businesses
  2. Senior Leadership - executives, VPs SVPs, AVPs, Head of
  3. Managers - managers who are below the top management level and manage a team of people. Such as senior managers and directors
  4. Specialist - one who specializes in a particular occupation and isn’t managing people, including freelancers

If people have two roles, Wynter ensures seniority for both positions is selected.

INDUSTRY

☑ Matches the industry of the participants' employer

COMPANY HEADCOUNT

☑ Matches the headcount of their employer's company on Linkedin.

  • If the headcount information on Linkedin is missing, Wynter looks for other public sources of information for verification.
